The Team

Chris founded, built and launched Mixcrate in late 2009. Before Mixcrate, Chris has lead technical projects for highly-trafficked Web sites for Yahoo!, Microsoft and Sony Entertainment. He has also worked for several start-up, mid-size and corporate companies; and owns a Web consultancy business based in Silicon Valley.

Randall is in charge of Mixcrate's marketing & promotions. Randall started his career during the mid 90’s producing nightlife events in the West Coast. He was also the marketing & events director for the legendary Invisibl Skratch Piklz in the late 90s. Randall is always building new relationships in the entertainment industry & the DJ community.

Ryan is in charge of the Mixcrate infrastructure and works with the development team to ensure maximum scalability and platform stability. Ryan has over a decade of experience managing IT systems, working in systems administration, software development, systems design and consulting. He now works as a systems architect designing and implementing highly available and fault tolerant solutions.

Bikramjit is responsible for writing markup, placing a shiny CSS bow, and adding JavaScript flavor to Mixcrate pages. He has worked for sites like Yahoo! and specializes in user interface design and building Web applications.

Issac has been designing, illustrating and helping teams build great products for over a decade. Issac's experience runs the gamut from working closely with small start-up founders to leading product design for large scale initiatives at Yahoo!.

Chris is responsible for designing marketing and promotional material for Mixcrate. He started his design career in the late 1990's for some of the top DJs and production houses in the United States. Chris has designed for Acrylick, ScreenWerks, Virgin America and RIF Los Angeles.

Charles is responsible for strategic partnerships, business development and ad sales operations. Charles has held positions at Federated Media Publishing and CBS Interactive where he managed strategy, development and assisted in financial planning for its entertainment business unit — Last.fm. Charles is a Leader's Circle Member for SFJAZZ and Advisor for the Roy Ayers Project.

Tony combines his decades in internet/software consulting and DJing to help plan, execute, test, and deliver features for Mixcrate. From co-founding a prominent DJ crew at the age of 16, to consulting for top names in the venture capital industry and many Fortune 500 companies, Tony brings a unique blend of entreprenurial spirit and skills to the team.

Sid is responsible for technical support and online community engagement. Sid has worked for Cisco Systems and Adobe in technical support, web development, community and social media management.  He's very passionate about the DJ scene and has spun at several popular clubs and special events. These days Sid has been focus on providing a special collection of mixes for friends, family and fans to enjoy using our very own Mixcrate site.

With 18 years of experience in the DJ industry and a successful career as a full-time DJ, Platurn has been honored to share the stage with some of the most respected artists and performers in the music industry. Platurn, originally from Iceland, now resides in Oakland, California and is owner of Platurn Productions and The 45 Sessions.
